It just has to be my vegetarian pasta bake... which is my very own creation.

you cook up your favourite pasta (not spaghetti or it won't work) and cook up a very thick and chunky sauce to go with it. Now, this works a lot better if you make this sauce from scratch a not from a bottle... once both these things are ready, have the oven ready on a medium - high and put the pasta in the bottom of a casserole dish, with the sauce on top and grate cheese lightly over the top of that. Then, into the oven for 20 minutes... yummo!

Tastes even better with a side bowl of sour cream and crusty garlic bread. and it's ready in under an hour. :P

Well It's a toss between Fried turkey and Chicken wellington...See we tend to do things a little different around here...when I have to do the Whole Thanksgiving with the family we do the Fried turkey and then when it's just the hubby and the kids...Chicken wellington baby!!!!
My mother-in-law would NEVER allow me to not have a turkey on Thanksgiving thus allows having a turkey....I'm not a big fan of turkey...but fried is my favorite.
But chicken Wellington is the BOMB!

My favorite thing to eat at this time of year is pumkin crumb cake! My kids are begging me to make it again! Heres the recipe:

Pumpkin Crumb Cake
Ingredients
•1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
•1 egg, beaten
•1/2 cup butter, melted
•1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
•3 eggs, beaten
•1/2 cup white sugar
•1/4 cup packed brown sugar
•1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
•1/2 cup white sugar
•3 tablespoons butter, softened
•1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray or grease one 9x13 inch pan.
2.Reserve 1 cup cake mix. In a large bowl, combine the remaining dry cake mix with 1 egg and 1/2 cup melted butter. Mix well, and then pat into prepared pan.
3.In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin, 3 eggs, 1/2 cup white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Pour over crust.
4.In a small bowl, combine reserved 1 cup cake mix, 1/2 cup sugar, and 3 tablespoons softened butter. Crumble over pumpkin filling. Sprinkle nuts evenly over the top, if desired.
5.Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes.

Serve warm with whip cream on top

My favorite Thanksgiving food is an old family recipe handed down to me from my grandmother who is no longer with us. I am so grateful I learned the recipe before she got to ill to teach me. It is a West Indian dish called by us: Peas & Rice. I make it every Thanksgiving, and Christmas and every couple of months throughout the year. My family really enjoys it and they all say it is almost exactly like Nanny used to make it. That is THE best compliment I could ever receive. <^_^>

Hi! Your designs are awesome! I simply love the Christmas tree card! My absolute favorite thing to eat on Thanksgiving is the sweet potato casserole that my mom makes. Its the only one that I will eat because I love the cornflake topping that she uses I'm not a big fan of the marshmellow topping. I mean I crave this thing all year. Its so funny my mom and I were just talking about it the other day. She recently burned herself very bad and I told her I would do the cooking this year if she wasn't feeling up to it and then she said well maybe she could use my help but that I'm not old enough to get her special sweet potato casserole recipe yet. LOL! The thing I realized after talking to her was that it wasn't that she didn't want me to make the casserole but that she wanted to make the thing that I love because she knows it makes me happy. And this is what I love about family and Thanksgiving. Its so great when you can do something for another person that makes them happy!

My favorite thing to eat at Thanksgiving is definitely our family's stuffing. It's a handed down recipe. I'm told that all the extended family used to get together at Thanksgiving, and the women would all cook together for their families. There were so many to feed that they would cook three large turkeys (not to mention also all the different fixings, side dishes, and desserts) and that the family originally had three different stuffing recipes, one for each turkey. The one we use is the favored stuffing, so it's the only remaining recipe the family uses now. I won't eat anyone else's stuffing because I love it so much lol.

We are a small family and for years did a whole turkey that ended up not being eaten. In recent years I have prepared only a turkey breast (if it was economical enough to do so) or used chicken tenders placed over the stuffing and baked in the oven. Then of course we have the trimmings, but my favorite is the munchies - baked cheesy artichoke hearts, stuffed mushrooms, chips / veggies and dip, olives, pickles, and of course cranberry jello with apples, cranberries, and nuts. Thank you so much for participating in the fun!
