Awesome August Blog Hop!

Hey everyone! I don't know about you, but right about now in southern Arizona, we're beginning to wonder if summer will EVER end. It's waaaaay too hot to go outside unless absolutely necessary. What to do, what to do? How about...stay inside and read a book? Awesome author Tristi Pinkston has put together an Awesome August Blog Hop to give you all an opportunity to win new books to distract you from the never-ending summer. (Okay, so maybe some of you are luckier than I am, and are beginning to finally feel a snap in the air. If so...I am sooooo jealous. But you can still enter for my giveaway anyway. ;-) )

35 blogs have signed up to giveaway fun prizes. All you have to do is hop from link to link below and follow the directions on each blog.

On my blog, I'm giving away a copy of Easterfield, by Anna Jones Buttimore. Click here to read a review by Anne Bradshaw.

How can you enter for a chance to win? Just leave me a comment and tell me: What's the weather like wherever you are at the time you leave this comment. And include your email address, because if I can't contact you, I can't let you know if you won.

This blog hop ends at midnight Wednesday, August 31. But I'll be participating in the Back to School Blog Hop beginning on Thursday, September 1, so be sure to stop by again on Thursday for more great book-themed prizes!

It had been unbearably hot here but when we woke up this morning it cooled considerably and was dry which is unusual for southern Alabama. I think the outer bands of Hurricane Irene had something to do with that.

Right now the temp is already in the 80's and climbing fast.

This summer the Texas panhandle has been hot and dry (and windy as always). This morning, however, it's a pleasant 80 degrees, although I expect that to go up as the day goes on!

It's not completely hot yet, but I wore shorts to walk the kids to school and it wasn't too bad!

The weather is sunny and pleasant for the moment. At least until this afternoon when it gets hot.

Hey Joyce -

It's a clear 70 degrees here in Kansas City this morning. Which means I need to get outside and mow the law before it hits 90! =)

We're having a little respite from the heat ... a little cooler this morning, with a breeze.

New follower. The weather is great this morning. It will get to low 90's today. I know, I know ~ that's nothing compared to Arizona's weather, right?!!!

Pat Cochran said...

The temperatures reached 104 degrees
yesterday and 109 degrees on this past
Saturday. It's a dry heat that just
seems to reach out and slap you in the face! Then it surrounds you and "feels
like" you have taken up residence in
an oven! A couple of hours ago, we
thought we had a cold front going when
the thermometers were registering a
mere 98 degrees! The temperature for
this very moment is 100 degrees! I'm watching Weather Channel news at this time which is forecasting 100 degrees
for tomorrow. For Thursday - Monday (Be
still, my heart) the forecast is for
RAIN with temps as low as 90 degrees!
I CAN HARDLY WAIT!
