Whoa! I read See No Evil, My Pretty Lady in record time for me! Thanks to a few sleepless nights and a rich, evocative style that was hard to put down, this book just sped by. And I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed my first foray into one of Miss Mae's mysteries. I hope to be checking out more of her titles in the future!
Next on my list should be an "old read" for me. But I've agreed to help out with a July blog tour for Joan Sowards, so I'll be reading her newest title, Chocolate Roses, instead. That means, of course, that I'll have to make up for it with two "old reads" in a row following this one.
Chocolate Roses is subtitled: A Jane Eyre Parody/An LDS Romance. Here's the back cover blurb:
Janie Rose Whitaker's world revolved around her chocolate shop until Roger Wentworth and his young daughter moved into the apartment across from Janie's. Anyone would think Roger fit the mold of the "perfect" guy, but soon Janie discovers secrets that could keep them apart forever. Though she resists getting involved in Roger's complicated life, they are drawn further into a bittersweet relationship.
You will laugh, cry, and crave chocolate as you read this LDS paraody of the classic novel Jane Eyre.

I will share a Tuesday Teaser from Chocolate Roses on Tuesday.
