    I am very thankful for my life and the lives of my family. I live in Joplin Missouri and myself and my oldest daughter lost our homes in the EF5 tornado that struck here on 5/22. We all made it out okay so I am very thankful this holiday season.

    I'm thankful for my 4 healthy children. Sure, we have normal illnesses running through our house, and all 3 of my boys have asthma, but I'm so thankful that all of my kids have such minor ailments. *Oh, and I'm very thankful that my iPad (with Kindle app) does not show the book cover while I'm reading -- I can read grown-up books without my kids even knowing!

    I'm lucky in that I have more than ONE thing to be thankful for: I have a warm roof over my head, I have food in my belly, clothes on my back, friends and family, 9 beautiful grandchildren, a pretty little white 16 yr old green eyed cat to warm my lap and...books to read (and VERY thankful for the ability to read them).     I am thankful that my mom is no longer on bed rest and had two healthy babies for a very sweet family who have been trying to have kids for so long. It was hard for my mom but she made it thru and so did the twins.
