Midwinter's Eve is the longest night of the year, so why not spend it entering some great giveaways? Over 100 blogs are offering books or book-related prizes to help you celebrate the season. I love sitting in the dark with my family snuggling, looking at our Christmas tree. I always put ALOT of lights on ours (probably a fire hazard but it's just so pretty) and we love the way they sparkle off the ornaments :D

That all my family makes time to get together. 3/4 now live locally but are so busy that major holidays and kid birthdays are still the only time we all get together. So this time of year is very special, esp this year since it is likely Grandma's last.
